Book "The Power of EQ": A parenting guide to solving "instant explosions, clueless kids, and excessive stubbornness"!
From a neuroscience perspective, easily understand children's emotions. EQ up! Meltdowns out! Improve social interaction skills!
The first step in emotional education is "understanding one's own emotions." Children's emotional instability often stems from not knowing what's happening, making it impossible to control, and even leading to more anxiety, panic, and anger. Resolving emotions is like managing floods; the focus is on "channeling" rather than blocking. Channeling refers to "guided education" that allows the brain's neural pathways to recognize that there isn't just one path, guiding children so their emotions have an outlet.
★Board Game "Adventure on EQ Mystery Island": Beat bad tempers, play your way to good emotions!
A child's EQ cannot be simply taught; it must be practiced, and emotional board games are the most effective tool. Through simulating events and reacting to emotions, children can easily learn to master the power of EQ while playing!
Through the book "The Power of EQ" and the emotion board game "Adventure on EQ Mystery Island," we hope to tell all parents that children's emotions and social skills can be taught! Now, take your children on an adventure with the six mythical beasts to EQ Mystery Island to find treasures!
EQ and Interpersonal Skills UP! Tantrums OUT! "Adventure on EQ Mystery Island" helps understand emotions through play.
Daniel Goleman, the father of EQ emotional education, believes that EQ includes the following skills: self-awareness, motivation, empathy, social skills, and self-regulation. Therefore, our team designed the emotion board game—"Adventure on EQ Mystery Island"—extending from these five elements to create this game for Taiwanese children, which is also an excellent home curriculum for training children's emotional development.
Plan ①: Train through natural play to stimulate motivation for learning emotions.
Plan ②: Use the board game to practice emotional expression and increase social skills.
Plan ③: Learn from the game: manage your own emotions, no need for others to do it.
Plan ④: The game programs emotional responses for children, helping them with self-control of emotions as they grow up.
Plan ⑤: Empathy and compassion can help children interpret others' minds.
Plan ⑥: Learn resilience and impulse control through play, adjusting children's impatient personalities.
The game also features a special rule designed for emotional education—the "Rest Island." This provides children with a clear reminder for impulse control and helps establish a pattern of calming down when emotions arise. If a child breaks a rule or gets angry, they must move to the "Rest Island" to calm down before rejoining the game. Initially, children may not immediately accept this rule. Therefore, when introducing this special calm-down zone, it's important to emphasize that Rest Island is not a "punishment" but rather helps the child "calm down" so they can return to the game and perform their best. This fosters the idea that the rule benefits everyone and promotes fair play.
