KATAMINO (Challenge Your Brain/Transforming Blocks) consists of pentominoes, which are block shapes created from five unit squares.
By rotating and flipping these blocks, an enormous number of variations can be achieved.
Mathematically, it's said there can be over four hundred million variations!

Besides filling spaces on a flat surface,
it can also be played with as building blocks,
allowing for three-dimensional stacking,
or arranging various patterns on a flat surface.
There's also a very amazing way to play:
If you use a "ㄇ" (a Chinese character resembling an "n" shape) as a target, the remaining blocks can be arranged to form a larger "ㄇ" shape.
No matter which block is chosen as the target, its larger version can be formed!
