Cherish the people and things that, once gone, can never be returned.
This is a story about a friend of a friend.
The protagonist of the story is a senior executive at a local listed company. He is extremely busy, with endless work, countless meetings of all sizes, and a diary full of social engagements every day! He is indeed a very typical modern city dweller.

One day, several years ago, he received a notification from a friend telling him that his son, who was studying abroad, had recently become very bad! Very bad! His grades had also suddenly plummeted! He had no choice but to put down his endless work for a while and rush to the place to see what was going on. Upon arriving, he decided to stay and live with his son for a period, hoping to observe his son's problems. This period was arguably the longest and closest time he had spent with his son in recent years; however! One day, three months later, his son suddenly passed away due to a sudden illness.
As a father, losing his own son was naturally very heartbreaking. After his grief, he realized that his son had also been waiting for him, hoping to spend more time with his dad, so he deliberately acted out to get his dad's attention. He also understood that even though his busy work in the past brought him a high income and seemed very glamorous, it was not as happy, fulfilling, and memorable as the simple life he had for those short three months.
Finally, he resigned from his high-paying position and decided to stay there, finding a simple job to enjoy a plain life.
I hope everyone understands the essence of the story and cherishes the people and things that, once gone, cannot be brought back.
