我的媽媽

My mother

My father passed away in December 2019. When I was arranging his funeral, I was surprised to find out that he was already 86 years old, and my mother was already 80!
Half a year before my father passed away, I had already noticed that my mother's memory was starting to decline. Sometimes, I would teach her something, and the next day she would have forgotten it. At first, I would impatiently teach her again. But later, I discovered that not only was she forgetful, but her temper was also very peculiar, like a child who constantly throws tantrums. She would do strange things to get your attention, or she would keep talking to you while you were busy, hoping that you would deal with her problems first!
Sometimes, after she finished doing something for me, she would praise herself repeatedly until I acknowledged or praised her. In fact, these actions are no different from a child's, the only difference is that she is my respected mother!
In the year or two before my father passed away, my mother had already started coming to my company to accompany me to work every day. Fortunately, I was running my own business, so there was no boss to tell me not to bring my mother to work. My father also strongly encouraged my mother to help me at the company, hoping to find something for her to occupy her time. Even if my mother didn't want to go to work sometimes, or if they had an argument, my father would comfort her and tell her to be patient. I deeply understood my father's intentions. At first, he wanted my mother to keep an eye on me, his daughter who had just lost her husband (my husband passed away at the end of 2015), fearing that I might do something foolish. On the other hand, he knew his time was short and hoped to entrust my mother to me, not wanting her to live a lonely life.

Both mothers and children are one's own relatives. Even if unwilling, you have to care for and tolerate them. The only difference is that children will grow up one day and no longer need you; but mothers will increasingly need your care, until one day they leave you!
Everyone will grow old and leave this world. I wish everyone to cherish the people around them!
